Those were upon times when young adults graduated from Uni/ college and started to hunt for jobs that can pay for your living, yet enjoyable. I finished my Uni, in mechanical Engineering field back in those years. Feeling that i want to kick back and relax a little, so i have to find a job that suits me laziness. Haha... Through a friend recommendation, i went to CTB for an interview for the position of Mortgage officer.
At that moment when i step into the office of Citi Mortgage Penang, i was like....WOW.....so nice, furthermore, its full of chicks. Everyone in that office is energetic & smartly dressed. All look professional. While waiting for my turn to be interviewed, i was sitting there like a dumb ass not knowing what to do. One thing that i could be sure of, the people there are young blooded and they are warm.
Unnoticingly, I was called a few times by the lenglui receptionist telling me that my interviewer is ready. I stood up and walk towards the room where my interviewerS sat. Noticed the big S i put up? Because there is not only 1 person, but 2. Its like scaring me off. But i gotta put my spirit with me and gotta do it. I knocked the door asking permission to step-in. Permission granted and there I was, in the room for an interview of my first permanent job.
There I was, interviewed by a buff man (which eventually is my Team Leader) & a big boobs lady. Fuh.....Hardly can concentrate. Then I was thinking this could be heaven or this could be hell?
Throughout the whole interview, I was asked these questions:
* Are you a team player?
* Do you play football?
* You stay alone?
* Can you go home late?
* Are you a drinker/ Can you drink?
* How do you get to work/ Do you possess your own transport?
* Do you have any friend who are lawyers, real estate agents, developers?
Lastly they gave me a stick of 2B pencil and ask me to sell it to them. So I started to 'kelentong' (a local dialet which means started to crap). So, as someone who has the charisma, i managed to convinced my interviewer that I'm good for it. After 2.5 hours of interview, finally i walked out of the room with very ill-chill feeling. Why do I say so? I was sitted directly underneath the aircon duct with full blast for entire session. I left & was informed of my successful interview via phone asking me to report to Citibank Mortgage Dept on 3rd May 2005. There I start my fascinating journey of my career where booze & colleagues are interlink & can't be seperated. Alot of happy hours, karaoke, clubbing & gatherings then.
What I've got from my 1.5 years there are definitely a good bunch of friends whom I did my travelling, sang my karaoke, yam my cha, play my mahjong & talk some cock. Nevertheless I have found my true love, my @myde@r, who i miss so much. Although we are going through some uncertaintees, I just want you to know that I need you.
